Drafts
Drafts is the workspace's library of what it has written: every piece, whatever its kind, as cards on a desk or as a list. It answers "where is everything?" and nothing else; a piece opens in the one editor.
The desk
- The kind chips along the top: All, Blog, X, LinkedIn, Newsletter, each with its count, and Live: the pieces your public site was seen serving, marked with a dot on their cards.
- Status: Any, Draft, Final or Published.
- Search drafts finds a piece by its title or its kind.
- The first card is a large Create new (a full-width press on a phone, a row in the list). It opens Create, the same page as Create on the rail: say what to write (a line, or a whole article pasted in), attach files, choose a model and, if you want, a format (Blog, LinkedIn, X or Newsletter; with none, Viewfield picks the best one). Nothing is sent until you send.
- A card shows the kind, the title, a two-line excerpt, where it stands (Draft, Final, Published, or Writing while it is being written), when it was last edited, and when it was last exported or copied.
- Cards or List shows the same pieces as cards or as rows (a row also says who edited it last); the choice is remembered on this device, and the list is what a keyboard and a screen reader read.
There are no folders. Categories (Settings › Categories) tag a piece for filing, and an owner says who is responsible; both are set from the editor's header.
Draft, Final and Published
A piece is Draft while it is being worked on and Final once it is reviewed and ready to take out; you move it between the two in the editor. Final does not publish anything. A piece reads Published only when its page on your site is seen live, never by a press (see Publishing).
Deleting
Delete is in a card's or a row's menu (and the editor's trash icon): "Delete this draft?", then Delete draft. It is permanent and needs the manager role. A published piece cannot be deleted: take it down in your CMS first.
